Candy is Dandy in Denver

In addition to all the wonderful natural sites the US has to offer, I wanted to see a few of the more "cheesy" slices of Americana. Unfortunately, the "Largest Ball of Twine" was several hundred miles away so my family indulged me with a trip to Hammond's Candy Factory in Denver, Colorado. It was a true treat to see real candy makers in action, using the techniques that have been used since the 1920's. If stored properly, my beautiful candy canes will last for 20-30 years. I'll be happy if they make it until Christmas!
